Will My Online Physiotherapist Tell Me If I Need To See A Face-to-Face Physio, Or A Doctor?Absolutely. While there are many injuries that can be managed via online Physiotherapy consultation, some conditions do require 'hands on' assessment and treatment. We also work in private practice, and are skilled at detecting when an injury requires face to face investigation.

Is My Injury Suitable For Online Physiotherapy? The majority of Musculoskeletal Injuries are suitable for online Physiotherapy consultation, but if we determine that your injury or situation is not at all suitable for an online consultation by a Physiotherapist, we will let you know, and refund the cost of the consultation. If you are unsure whether your injury is suitable for a consultation or not, send us an email, and we will let you know!
-
How Can A Physio Diagnose My Injury If They Haven’t Even Touched Me?All Physiotherapy appointments start with a 'subjective assessment', in which the Physiotherapist will ask you a well-structured series of questions designed to discover what they need to know about your injury (without touching you). By the end of the subjective assessment, the Physiotherapist should already have a very clear idea of your probable diagnosis. The Physiotherapist may then perform some tests to conform this diagnosis.

What is a Chartered Physiotherapist as opposed to a physical therapist or sports therapist?A Chartered Physiotherapist has undergone a University degree programme with hospital-based training and has comprehensive knowledge of how the body works, along with specialist training in the diagnosis and treatment of muscle and joint pain. When you choose a physiotherapist who is a member of the Irish Society of Chartered Physiotherapists (ISCP), you’ll enjoy the peace of mind of knowing that they are a part of Ireland’s only professional body within its field. So look for the letters MISCP to ensure your Physiotherapist is Chartered.
